Privacy policy
This page describes what this site actually does with your data — no more and no less.
What we collect
We collect directly only what you enter yourself in the legal service request form: your name, your organisation, your phone number, your email, the sector you select, and your description of the matter. Each request also tells us whether it came from the self-assessment, the campaign tags of the link you arrived by if there were any, and your answer to "How did you hear about us?" if you chose to give one. We measure use of the site in aggregate, as the section on analytics and cookies explains.
The self-assessment
Your answers in the self-assessment and its result stay inside your browser; they are not sent to us or to anyone else. What we measure is how many people start and finish it and roughly how long it takes, never an answer or a result.
Analytics and cookies
We measure visits to the site and the steps of the self-assessment with Plausible, which uses no cookies, creates no identifier for you, and never sees your answers or your result. If you agree through the bar at the bottom of the page, we also use Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our advertising, and these place cookies on your device. None of them receives your answers, your result or anything you write in the request form, and none is loaded before you agree. Your choice is kept on your device so we do not ask again, and you can change it at any time from the "Cookie settings" link at the foot of the page.
How we use what you send
What you send through the request form is used for one purpose: to consider your matter and reply to you. It is seen by those in the relevant team who need to see it, and is not used for any marketing purpose.
We do not sell or share your data
We do not sell your data, trade in it, or share it with anyone for marketing purposes, apart from the campaign measurement described under analytics and cookies, which needs your agreement. It is disclosed only where a professional duty or an applicable law requires it.
Professional confidentiality
What you share with us about your matter is governed by the duties of professional confidentiality that the Law of Legal Practice and its regulations impose on lawyers — duties wider than any website privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your request for as long as answering and following it up requires, and as the keeping of professional records requires. Where a request does not lead to an engagement, it is destroyed once it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You may ask what data of yours we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
